Wenger guided Arsenal to the 2006 Champions League final
Arsenal find out at 1100 BST on Friday which team they must beat to reach the group stage of the Champions League.
The Gunners, finalists in 2006, join 2010 runners-up Bayern Munich, Benfica, Lyon and Villarreal as seeded teams in the pot for the two-leg play-offs.
A separate draw for league winners from 10 mid-ranked countries - including Rangers' conquerors Malmo - will also take place at Uefa's headquarters.
The draw for the Europa League will follow at 1230 BST.
Should manager Arsene Wenger guide the Gunners into the lucrative Champions League group stage for a 14th successive year, the club will pick up £17.4m.
League route: Bayern Munich, ARSENAL, Lyon, Benfica, Villarreal, FC Twente, Rubin Kazan, Udinese, FC Zurich, Odense
Champions route: FC Copenhagen, FC BATE, Maccabi Haifa, Dinamo Zagreb, Apoel Nicosia, Wisla Krakow, Sturm Graz, Genk, FC Viktoria Plzen, Malmo
Ties to be played 16/17 and 23/24 August
However, they face potential tricky ties against Italian side Udinese or Rubin Kazan of Russia in the knock-out round.
FC Twente, FC Zurich and Odense, who finished runners-up in their leagues in Holland, Switzerland and Denmark respectively, are also potential opponents.
Progress would put Arsenal in the draw for the group stages, which takes place in Monaco on 25 August.
Tottenham, Birmingham, Rangers and Celtic are all seeded for the Europa League draw which also includes Fulham, Stoke and Hearts who came through third qualifying round ties on Thursday.
