0815: FOOTBALL - Wolves have confirmed that new signing Roger Johnson has replaced Karl Henry as skipper for the 2010-2011 campaign.

0806: RUGBY LEAGUE - Bradford Bulls have signed Penrith Panthers back Adrian Purtell on a three-year deal. Purtell, who usually plays as a wing or centre, scored 13 tries in 44 appearances for Penrith after making his name with Canberra Raiders.


Barcelona are set to make a final push for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas by tabling £35m offer for the Spain midfielder. (Daily Telegraph)

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has cast doubt over the future of Dimitar Berbatov by appearing to suggest the Bulgarian could leave for Paris Saint-Germain. The French club are reportedly willing to pay between £18-£20m for the Bulgarian. (The Guardian)
