What Is Up With The Kings of Leon?

On Monday, a rep for Kings of Leon sent out a statement canceling their U.S. tour, telling fans performances will resume in Canada September 28.

Reports of the group's internal problems began after a Dallas concert Friday.

About four songs into the 11 they performed, Caleb Followill started complaining about losing his voice. He told the crowd he was feeling ill, saying:

"If you guys would please help me sing, I'd love it."

About 50 minutes into the rockers' set, the frontman said, "I'm gonna go backstage for a second and I'm gonna vomit ... I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and I'm gonna play three more songs."

After he didn't return, bassist Jared Followill and guitarist Matthew Followill stepped up to the mic, saying, "Caleb's a little unfit to play the rest of the show. We love you guys so much … I know you guys f–ing hate us. I'm so sorry."

They put the blame squarely on him: "It's really not our fault – it's Caleb. He can't play the rest of the show. We will be back as soon as possible."

Comments later that night seemed to suggest another problem at hand: "Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am," Jared Tweeted. "There are some internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed."

"I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

Later, Nathan also echoed the sentiment. "Ashamed & embarrassed by last nights fiasco," he Tweeted. "Can't apologize enough, utterly gutted."

Sounds pretty bad for the Kings right now. Here's hoping those problems get resolved and the band comes back stronger and better than ever.
