2145: "We may have sneaked a win but in all honesty a draw was a fair result." Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre

2137: "Where was the free-flowing football promised by the Pars? Just big hoofs up the park. Buddies bossed the game and looked easy on the eye. Worried looks on the faces of home fans."
BBC Sport's Clive Lindsay at East End Park

2136: Handshakes all round at East End Park and a rueful look at the turf from St Mirren striker Steven Thompson, who saw his first-half penalty saved by Paul Gallacher.

2135: FULL-TIME DUNFERMLINE 0-0 ST MIRREN

2131: Dunfermline launch a late foray forward but McCann lashes a cross out of play for a goal kick and, with two minutes remaining, a point apiece looks the most likely outcome.

2129: Hasselbaink almost has his revenge as his slaloming run triggers panic in the Dunfermline defence but his effort fails to find the net.

2128: Six minutes remaining for either side to fashion a winner. Nigel Hasselbaink is still getting a tough time from the angry Pars fans...

2124: St Mirren striker Nigel Hasselbaink receives a booking for a scything challenge on Alex Keddie. The Pars fans are giving the pint-sized striker pelters for that tackle.

2120: "Haven't paid to see football in ages. As a Pars sympathiser now living in Paisley I would pay again to see this St Mirren side, but Dunfermline have yet to convince."
BBC Sport's Clive Lindsay at East End Park

2118: Martin Hardie sends a swerving free-kick inches wide of goal. It brushes the side-netting and more than a few Pars fans were on their feet their about to cheer the opening goal.

2116: Dunfermline make their third and final substitution as Andy Kirk trots off to be replaced by Ryan Thomson.

2114: "The Dunfermline players seem to have a second wind with 20 minutes to go." BBC Scotland pundit Stephen Craigan

2112: Jason Thomson sends in a delicious cross but Martin Hardie heads it high over the bar: progress for Dunfermline but they'll need to be more ruthless with these infrequent chances in front of goal.

2110: Dunfermline defender John Potter is skating on thin ice: he fouls the speedy Nigel Hasselbaink and from the resulting free-kick Steven Thompson sends a shot wide of goal.

2109: "Both sides would love to get their SPL campaign off to a winning start." BBC Scotland commentator Rob Maclean

2108: Paul Burns comes on for David Graham as the Pars look for a spark to get them going with 25 minutes remaining.

2106: bringthemonjpn tweets: "Not a quiz question, but did Gary Teale ever put a good ball in?" You're not a fan then? I think he's been one of the most impressive performers on show tonight.

2104: Dunfermline look more confident in this second half but are too often resorting to long, hopeful balls into the box. Celtic manager Neil Lennon looks on from the stand.

2102: "Bring on summer football! Green pitches, good weather, better attractive football; all would boost attendances. And essentially, the SPL could fill empty summer TV sport schedules south of the border. Higher TV rights revenues would surely follow."
From George in Paisley by text on 80295

2100: "Paul McGowan and Gary Teale aren't having the same impact that they did in the first half."
BBC Scotland pundit Stephen Craigan on worries for St Mirren

2059: Pars boss Jim McIntyre tickles his line-up as he brings on Andy Barrowman for Steven McDougall.

2055: Dunfermline captain Austin McCann goes into the book for hauling down Nigel Hasselbaink with a foul that wouldn't look out of place in the Indian game Kabaddi!

2053: John Potter grapples with Steven Thompson once again and the striker earns a foul deep inside Dunfermline territory. The ball fizzes around the box before Gary Teale fires a shot inches wide. St Mirren boss Danny Lennon leaps in the air believing his side have broken the deadlock but it wasn't to be. What a chance!

2051: The visitors once again ping the ball from left to right and they're making the Dunfermline defenders earn their corn tonight. It remains goalless with 50 minutes on the clock.

2050: St Mirren's Gary Teale sends a poor, low corner-kick into the Dunfermline penalty area but the Pars repel the danger with considerable ease.

2049: "Dunfermline are still very much in this game at 0-0,"
BBC Scotland commentator Rob Maclean

2048: St Mirren get the second half under way. C'mon give us a goal!

2044: Holly McCormack tweets via #bbcsportsound: "St Mirren looking good so far, need a goal though."

2040: Scotland manager Craig Levein is making the point to Sportsound listeners that St Mirren fans shouldn't expect Steven Thompson to bag 20 goals a season. "You're depressing me Craig," quips BBC pundit and Buddies fan Chick Young. I hope there isn't going to be a stramash here...

2035: "The natives are restless. Took the Pars 36 minutes to get the home fans off their seats and find their collective voice. But the penalty save has given them a fresh buzz."
BBC Scotland's Clive Lindsay at East End Park

2033: "The penalty was a penalty; the correct decision but it wasn't a great effort from Steven Thompson. However, I'm content watching St Mirren: they've played some sweet football and already look a better side than they were last season."
BBC Scotland pundit and Buddies fan Chick Young

2032: HALF-TIME DUNFERMLINE 0-0 ST MIRREN

2031:"A criticism I have of St Mirren is that they get into great wide areas but don't get enough players into the box."
Scotland boss and BBC pundit Craig Levein

2029: "St Mirren playing just like they did last week against Cowdenbeath. Lots of possession but struggled to hit the back of the net and we managed to punish them. As a Cowden fan I look forward to a wonder goal from Darren McGregor."
From Stuart a Blue Brazil fan via text on 80295

2028: Penalty was awarded after John Potter was adjudged to have fouled Thompson in the box - much to the consternation of Pars players and supporters alike. It remains goalless, but the atmosphere is crackling at East End Park.

2027: Striker Steven Thompson trots up and his shot is brilliantly saved by Paul Gallacher!

2026: Penalty for St Mirren!

2025 Martin Hardie arrows a great effort at goal but Craig Samson displays Ninja-like reflexes to tip the ball over the bar. That effort has brought the home fans to life and suddenly East End Park is aflame. Great stuff!

2024: Free kick to Dunfermline about 25 yards out...

2020: bringthemonjpn breaks the Twitter deadlock to say: "After Celtic's poor showing at Easter Road, I was hoping that the Pars would give us something to cheer. Monopoly board out..."

2019: "I think some of the Dunfermline players look a bit leggy; that's probably credit to the pressure St Mirren are putting them under when they don't have possession."
BBC Scotland pundit Stephen Craigan

2018: Just under 15 minutes remaining of a first half dominated by St Mirren but the visitors have yet to break the deadlock.

2015: The bearded St Mirren striker Steven Thompson - looking like that actor Matthew Fox who starred in Lost - is penalised for a foul but Dunfermline fail to test keeper Craig Samson, who could be thumbing through a magazine at the moment, such is his inactivity.

2013: St Mirren steal possession on the centre circle and Nigel Hasselbaink races away from a sea of yellow jerseys. But the former Hamilton Accies hitman fails to deliver on a promising run and his weak effort is gathered comfortably by Gallacher.

2012: Darren McGregor chops down Andy Kirk to offer some respite for the frazzled Pars.

2011: Pars boss Jim McIntyre, hands in pockets, gives a powerful puff of his cheeks as takes a step outside the dugout.

2008: St Mirren are playing some lovely stuff as they stroke the ball from right to left as they probe for an opening. It remains goalless, but for how much longer?

2007: Dunfermline somehow manage to thwart David Van Zanten as his low effort causing havoc in the home defence; then the diminutive Nigel Hasselbaink is teed up by Tesselaar but his shot clears the crossbar. The Buddies are pummelling the hosts.

2005: Darren McGregor comes within inches of heading St Mirren into the lead and it looks as though the Pars could do with the calming influence of Jim Leishman out there...

2004: The Dunfermline fans inside East End Park are getting a little restless as their side struggle to keep possession and string a few passes together.

2002: Gary Teale is seeing more of the ball as St Mirren pen Dunfermline into their own half.

2000: "Dunfermline have been under pressure and Jim McIntyre is cutting a fairly agitated figure down on the touchline."
BBC Scotland commentator Rob Maclean

1958: St Mirren are getting a lot of joy down the right as Teale and Van Zanten trade passes before the Pars scramble it clear.

1954: Dunfermline appear to have stemmed the early Saints tide and it remains goalless. Danny Lennon will be the happier of the two managers, though, as his side are showing some real menace.

1952: Great stuff from St Mirren as Paul McGowan starts and finishes a move, only to see his fizzing shot pushed away by Paul Gallacher. From the resulting corner the unmarked Steven Thompson heads over. The visitors are warming to the task here...

1950: "Looks like St Mirren are playing with one holding midfielder with four a little further forward and Steven Thompson as the lone frontman."
Scotland boss and BBC Sportsound pundit Craig Levein

1947: Saints break up field immediately and Paul McGowan's shot on the turn has Dunfermline keeper Paul Gallacher scrambling across goal. Enterprising start from both sides.

1946: Dunfermline spurn a great chance to take the lead: Pars striker David Graham lashes the ball over after finding time and space in the box.

1945:Both sides are sporting their away strips tonight, strange to see the Pars line up at home without the famous black & white. We're under way!

1944: TEAMS FROM EAST END PARK:
Dunfermline: Gallacher, Jason Thomson, Potter, Keddie, McCann, Graham, Mason, Hardie, Cardle, McDougall, Kirk. Subs: Smith, Barrowman, Dowie, Burns, Willis, Ryan Thomson, Young.
St Mirren: Samson, van Zanten, McGregor, Mair, Tesselaar, Thomson, Goodwin, McGowan, Teale, Thompson, Hasselbaink. Subs: McHugh, McAusland, McQuade, McLean, McKernon, McShane, Carey.
Referee: Stevie O'Reilly

1943: Both sides trot up the tunnel and onto the East End Park pitch to thunderous applause: great to see the Pars back in the top flight...

1940: The last time these two sides met on league duty was 30 April 2007 when Tom McManus's scored the only goal of the game to give the Pars maximum points.

1934: It'll be intriguing to see the Buddies' frontline this season. The addition of former Rangers and Dundee United striker Steven Thompson and Nigel Hasselbaink from relegated Hamilton Accies should give them some extra firepower.

1930: Dunfermline's general manager Jim Leishman has just told our pundit Chick Young that success for the Pars this season would be avoiding relegation. It's superb to hear the great poet once again!

1926: Following a four-year absence, the Pars are back in Scotland's top-flight and will be aiming to mark their return with a win in front of their own fans at East End Park.

1925: Good evening and welcome to tonight's live Scottish Premier League coverage of Dunfermline against St Mirren.
