Stephen Colbert Wins Approval for SuperPAC

Stephen Colbert will not be our next President. But he may have a say who gets the job.

The comedian/talk show host won approval today from the Federal Election Committee to form a SuperPAC, meaning Colbert can raise money and produce/buy television time for political advertisements.

"Moments ago the Federal Election Committee made their ruling," Colbert said ta crown below outside the FEC headquarters. "And ladies and gentlemen I'm sorry to say, we won!"

Stephen Colbert Super PAC Announcement

How did this come about? Former FEC Chairman Robert Lenhard said the ruling "means people can use their network's resources to fund their own PAC ads without needing to report it on their network, on their show."

As for the host of The Colbert Report? Added Lenhard:

"I think he's going to have fun. But until he gets at least a million dollars he's not going to run many ads outside of his show."

Colbert is already working on that, however. He solicited donations from fans during his speech, telling supporters: "I don't know about you but I do not accept limits on my free speech, I don't know about you but I do not accept the status quo. But I do accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express."

The Defense Rests in Casey Anthony Trial

The defense rested today in the Casey Anthony trial, bringing to an end two weeks' worth of evidence presentation and witness testimony. It did so with the Anthony choosing not to take the stand.

The prosecution will now present a rebuttal case, but it is barely even expected to last a day. Closing arguments will follow, with jury deliberations possibly getting underway this holiday weekend.

If Casey is found guilty of killing her daughter, she could be executed by the state.

Fulham secure Europa upper hand

Andrew Johnson celebrates his goal Johnson (right) struck Fulham's third with 20 minutes remaining

Goals from Damien Duff, Danny Murphy and Andrew Johnson gave Fulham a three-goal lead after the first leg of their Europa League qualifier against NSI Runavik at Craven Cottage.

Duff broke the deadlock when finishing off a sweeping team move with a low shot across keeper Andras Gango.

Bobby Zamora had chances to increase the lead, but was denied by Gango.

Murphy made it 2-0 from the spot after Simon Davies was brought down before Johnson beat Gango from 12 yards.

It was an assured performance from the Premier League side in Martin Jol's first game as manager, although the recently-appointed former Tottenham boss sprang something of a surprise by naming his strongest possible starting line-up.

The Dutchman had hinted he would blood youngsters during the early rounds but instead named a side packed with experience against the minnows from the Faroe Islands.

The home side started strongly and within the opening minute Johnson came close to breaking the deadlock, but Helgi Petersen blocked well after neat build-up play by Murphy and Zamora.

Duff gave the hosts the lead in the 32nd minute, thumping home from 18 yards after a decent team move from Fulham.

And the Londoners were unlucky to go into half-time only one goal up, with keeper Gango in fine form for the visitors.

The second half proved as one sided as the first, with Zamora dragging a right-footed shot inches wide of the far post early on.

But soon after, Johnson was felled by Helgi Lamhauge Petersen when showing nifty footwork inside the box and Murphy slotted the ball into the bottom left of the goal from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.

Johnson then got his name on the scoresheet, firing low across Gango into the corner of the net.

And the score could have been even greater had it not have been for Gango who denied Zamora - who then hit the woodwork - while the keeper later tipped Johnson's strike onto the crossbar.

Murphy attempted a speculative effort in a last bid to get the 14,910 fans on their feet again but Fulham were restricted to a three-goal advantage heading into next week's second leg.

Fulham manager Martin Jol:

"If I say it is job done , you will tell everyone I said the job was done so I will say it's a good score

"We started off brightly the first five minutes and then it was difficult to find the spare man up front.

"The second half was better. If there was no possibility to play it up to Andy Johnson or Bobby Zamora you have to play down the flanks and the second half was better."

Justin John Bieber on Facebook: Eff Kids!

A man named Justin John Bieber is creating quite the stir on Facebook for two reasons:

 1. His name.
 2. The fact that he goes off on Justin Bieber.

FB Profile

A 50-year old man, this Justin Bieber feels as attached to his name as Michael Bolton did on Office Space: he was here first, he thinks the other Justin Bieber is a "punk ass little bandit" and he has no intention of changing it!

We don't approve of some of Justin John's language or reference, but it's better to see a middle-aged man turning away "little girls" than trying to friend them, isn't it?

Joe Stangni Pulls an Anthony Weiner, Tweets Underwear Pic to Woman

Anthony Weiner likely wanted to set a good example for folks during his time in office. But we doubt this is what he had in mind,

Joe Stangni, a Louisiana Councilman, has been caught in a Twitter scandal after The New Orleans Times-Picayune published a photo he sent of himself in his underwear to a town employee.

Explained the politician after this picture leaked: "I had an inappropriate but consensual relationship with an adult female and we exchanged improper electronic communications which ended in 2009. I did not use any government computer or city issued equipment to send or receive these communications."

Joe Stangni Twit Pic

Following the guidelines of Famous Person Apology 101, Stangi invoked a Higher Power in his statement, adding:

"I asked for God's mercy and forgiveness. I apologized to my wife and family and asked for their forgiveness as well. My actions and bad judgment had nothing to do with my duties and responsibilities as a public official. They were private acts, but I take full responsibility for my irresponsible behavior. This matter has been a painful experience for my family and I pray that everyone will allow our family to continue to heal. I am sorry."

The most embarrassing part of all this? At least Weiner had something to show off.

Sunderland sign South Korean star

Ji Dong-won Dong-won has scored six goals in 11 appearances for South Korea

Sunderland have completed the signing of South Korea striker Ji Dong-won from Chunnam Dragons for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old has signed a three-year deal at the Stadium of Light following a wait for the administrative side of the move to be tied up.

Dong-won has scored six goals in 11 international appearances, including four at the 2011 Asian Cup.

He is the second striker to join Sunderland in as many days following Connor Wickham's move from Ipswich.

The Black Cats have also brought in Birmingham midfielder Craig Gardner for an undisclosed fee believed to be about £6m having signed winger Sebastian Larsson from Birmingham and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood from Coventry last week

Dong-won scored 16 goals in 44 appearances for the Dragons, having joined them from Gwangyang Jecheol High School.

The boy has been in fantastic form for both club and country and he was one of South Korea's stand-out performers at the Asian Cup, so we are delighted to bring him to Sunderland

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce

He had a brief spell with Reading during the 2007/08 season.

"I am so satisfied to be able to come to a good club, a nice club in the world's number one league," he told SAFC TV. "I am happy because I have a chance to challenge the biggest players, and that gives me motivation.

"As a striker, I like to overwhelm defenders. My aim is to help the team get as many points as possible. That is what will give me satisfaction."

Dong-won admits that getting used to life in England and his new club will take time, but hopes the Black Cats will soon see the best of him.

"It will not be easy," he added. "I am enjoying the life and studying English. I hope I could be a member of this team within six months."

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce said: "The boy has been in fantastic form for both club and country and he was one of South Korea's stand-out performers at the Asian Cup, so we are delighted to bring him to Sunderland.

"The Premier League is very different to the K-League, so there is hard work ahead, but you just have to look at players like [Manchester United midfielder] Park Ji-Sung and [Bolton winger] Lee Chung-Yong to see how well Korean players are adapting to its pace and physicality."

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers Attempts Suicide, Sources Claim

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is a very talented actor with a very troubled personal life.

Great Britain's The Sun reports that paramedics arrived at the star's house in London Tuesday night because he swallowed pills in what is believed to be a suicide attempt.

"This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life," an insider tells the newspaper.

A friend, meanwhile, says the actor "relapsed," but did not try to kill himself.

Lindsay Lohan Parties First Night of Freedom Away

Lindsay Lohan had her ankle monitor removed and was released from house arrest around 10:20 a.m. Pacific Time yesterday.

Last night, she partied with friends at the Lexington Social House in Los Angeles. We're as shocked as you are: she didn't go there for a late breakfast?!?

Lindsay at a NightclubFailing to Hide

Lohan reportedly spent the evening with actors Emile Hirsch and Lyndsy Fonseca, barely making it out of the club without falling as she tried (and failed) to hide from a swarm of paparazzi.

It's nice to see this star getting back to what she does best, isn't it?

The President "acted like a dick." Watch the host's stunned reaction to the insult now:

But there's one area in which the new Presidentual candidate may bristle when compared to the former Vice Presidential nominee: fashion.

In a recent interview, in fact, Bristol Palin said Bachmann has taken the look that her mother popularized, telling Pop Eater: "I think she dresses a lot like my mom. But a lot, a lot of women have done that the last few years. I do think it's odd, you know, seeing people with red blazers with their hair up with glasses."

His Space: Justin Timberlake Buys Into Social Network

Justin Timberlake: actor, musician... businessman?

The multi-talented star is part of Specific Media, the group that purchased MySpace from News Corp. yesterday $35 million. Said the company in a press release:

"As part of the deal, Emmy and Grammy winning artist Justin Timberlake will also take an ownership stake and play a major role in developing the creative direction and strategy for the company moving forward. Specific Media and Timberlake plan to unveil their vision for the site in an exclusive press conference later this summer."

With Facebook ruling the online world and Google getting into the social networking game, MySpace would not seem to a venture with strong prospects.

But Timberlake is one of the most talented musicians of this generations, one of the funniest SNL hosts of all-time and has dated Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel, among other. Do you really wanna bet against him?

All grown up, Joe Jonas has released his first-ever solo music video.

With his album due out on September 6, the young singer sits heartbroken below, surrounded by deserted suburb, torn over a past relationship.

“The idea I had was to use a house as a metaphor of being stuck in my own head because the song is obviously about the end of a relationship,” Joe said about the video’s concept. “I said 'okay, if you were stuck in your own head, and you see everything that reminds you of this person, you want to get rid of everything [that reminds you of this person].'"

Anti-Violence Group on Eminem: Evil! Selfish!

Filming yourself choking a porn star and then committing suicide is sure to upset a few folks.

But a British group known as Mothers Against Violence has taken criticism of Eminem to a new level. In a recent statement, the organization bashes the heck out of the rapper for his "Space Bound" music video (below), referring to the star as "evil."

Eminem Space Bound Video

"People who do this are really quite evil," the group says. "Children are influenced by the things they see. If we feed violence, it becomes strong. Like an addiction. It's all about the money with these videos. Eminem isn't thinking about the families affected. It's selfish - it comes to a point when selfishness becomes evil."

Do you agree? Is Eminem evil?

FA treated Man Utd harshly - Gill

Manchester United manager Wayne Rooney and manager Sir Alex Ferguson Rooney and Ferguson both fell foul of the FA last season

Manchester United chief executive David Gill believes the Football Association singled out the club for "harsh" punishments last season.

Striker Wayne Rooney was banned for two matches for swearing into a TV camera.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson was also handed a five-game touchline ban for comments made about referee Martin Atkinson.

"There were some poor-ish decisions that wouldn't have necessarily hit others - the actual punishments were harsh," said FA board member Gill.

"That's not to say I'm condoning Wayne's comments, because I don't think they were correct, or what Sir Alex said, because it wasn't helpful.

"We're possibly being caught up in being one of the biggest clubs and the [FA's] Respect agenda being there.

"What better way to demonstrate the authorities are being tough than by hitting one of the biggest clubs the hardest?"

Rooney admitted to losing control in the league match against West Ham in April, while his manager Ferguson received his touchline ban for comments made about Atkinson's performance during the 2-1 defeat by Chelsea in March.

It's a dangerous course the FA has gone down, because consistent application is what's required and I'm not sure that will necessarily happen

David Gill Man Utd chief executive

Ferguson received a three-game ban for the remarks and saw a two-game suspended ban he had previously earned for saying referee Alan Wiley was not "fit enough" to keep up with play activated.

Gill, who was quoted in a new book about United called Champ19ns, questioned whether other players who commit a similar act to Rooney will receive the same punishment.

"The club doesn't condone it but Wayne recognised it was wrong and apologised almost immediately," said Gill.

"We have various issues with the ban - one being consistency. What's going to happen now? Is the referee under pressure to send everyone off?

"It's a dangerous course the FA has gone down, because consistent application is what's required and I'm not sure that will necessarily happen.

"There are certain things you should wait until the start of the season to change."

Gill was elected to the FA board in 2006 when he replaced former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein.

Aaron Carter Claims: Michael Jackson Dealt Me Drugs

Aaron Carter knew Michael Jackson well. The former boy bander has often credited the icon with offering him advice on the industry.

But in a new interview with Daphne Barak in Spain, Carter makes a disturbing allegation: he says Jackson gave him drugs at the age of 15.

"I miss Michael," he said. "I have spent such incredible times with him. I did things with him that nobody else did... But I was also troubled about what he did to me."

Carter has battled a substance abuse problem for years. He entered rehab in January.

Asked whether the King of Pop provided him with alcohol, Aaron said yes, going into detail.

"Yes, he gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15.’ As for drugs? He gave me cocaine. I felt weird about that and other stuff... We spoke afterwards, hours and hours, on the phone. I admired Michael, but his behavior bothered me a lot."

We're down to 16 contestants and most of them were fighting hard to stay in the competition last night.

The judging panel was increased from three to four, with Kristin Chenoweth joining Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe and Lil' C. As you might expect, Lil' C and Chenoweth were hawking new albums as they critiqued the following performers...

Tadd Gadduang and Jordan Casanova

Group One Performance (Ryan, Sasha, Tadd, Mitchell, Marko, Miranda, Clarice, Chris) - I'll be the first to admit that I'm tired of Tyce's Broadway choreography. I was more interested in the fact that someone stuck tap lights under the chairs. The guys’ choreography was off. The girls had an easier time using the chair as props in the first half; when the girls were attempting their high kicks, it looked like Miranda kicked someone in the face. At least all the chairs ended in the right places all the time. My Grade: B

Sasha & Alexander - Contemporary (Dee Caspary) - Dee had a stereotypical love story involving lost memories. It was cool watching Sasha emerging from the piano. The two got lucky that they had something in their style again. I loved the fact that the song picked tempo; I’ll forgive the fact that Sasha stumbled to get on top of the piano at the musical peak. My Grade: B+

Caitlynn & Mitchell - Samba (Jean-Marc Generaux) - I realized who Mitchell sounds like: a gay Chris Tucker. The couple had the party spirit of the samba. The performance started a bit slow, but it let the dancers emphasize their hips. Mitchell was shaking his damnedest, even though his butt looked padded. My Grade: A-

Miranda & Robert - Broadway (Tyce Diorio) - Tyce created the story of a "classy hooker" meeting a musician. Miranda is trying to bring Robert up to her level and the choreographers are giving him easier choreography. Most of Robert's moves were: "lift Miranda," "react to Miranda's difficult choreography," and "attempt a step routine." My Grade: B

Melanie & Marko - Lyrical Hip-Hop (NappyTabs) - The story is about best friends seeing love in one another after a runaway bride. The opening with the choreography on the steps and watching Melanie react to Marko's movements had a great dynamic. Marko's slide into the really emotional kiss caught me off guard and made me a bit mushy inside. My Grade: A+

Ashley & Chris - Jazz (Sonya Tayeh) - Sonya was inspired of Beetlejuice, with two sides but they never played up the fact that half of them was human. I'm still impressed how well Chris does with choreography; he was on time with Ashley the whole piece. Ashley's leg extensions were sick and there was a lot of content in the routine that was executed well. My Grade: B+

Clarice & Jess - Foxtrot (Jean Marc Generoux) - The story was supposed to be like a rat pack inspired routine. When the two was separate, the couple was good. The lifts were executed well. I'm not sure what Mary saw, but the hold section was clunky and they had lead feet when they tried to glide across the floor. My Grade: C+

Ryan & Ricky - Contemporary (Sonya Tayeh) - The routine was supposed to be about letting go with the use of a long piece of fabric. Anytime that a choreographer used Robyn, I'm automatically sold. I thought the routine fit the song and appreciated the whole fabric storyline. The two really lucked out with such a solid routine after being in the bottom four last week. My Grade: A

Jordan & Tadd - Pictured, Hip-Hop (NappyTabs) - The story was about the morning after drinking. I liked the nervous look of the dancers and watching Tadd put his pants on was great. The silliness of the whole routine was great. The two danced passionately and transitioned well between pieces. Extra points for a mostly shirtless Tadd. My Grade: B+

Group 2 (Jess, Ricky, Caitlynn, Robert, Jordan, Melanie, Alex, and Ashley) – The contemporary routine was a medieval story of poisoning one another. The second group had better choreography than group one. Instead of chairs, we got nice routine involving chalices. The choreography was more compelling and the interaction between the guys and the girls. My Grade: B+

Denise Richards Adopts a Daughter

Denise Richards has made news for reasons that have nothing to do with Charlie Sheen:

The ex-wife of that actor adopted a baby girl this week, confirms her rep. He released the following statement.

"Eloise Joni Richards is named after Denise's mom (Joni), and Denise and her daughters Sami and Lola chose the name Eloise. Denise and Eloise's big sisters couldn't be happier and feel incredibly blessed."

An Adoptive Mom

Son after the announcement was made, Richards Tweeted: "Thank you all for your sweet messages. The girls and I are over the moon and so is my dad Grandpa Irv...xo"

A cynical person would say Richards only made this move because she'll eventually film a reality show about her new family. But we'd never go there.

Instead, we'll simply send along best wishes to Denise, Sam and Lola!

Enyeama joins champions Lille

By Oluwashina Okeleji
BBC Sport, Lagos
Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama Enyeama kept goal for Nigeria at last year's World Cup finals in South Africa

Nigeria international goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has joined French champions Lille.

The Super Eagle signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Israel's Hapoel Tel Aviv.

And the 28-year-old says he is excited with the opportunity of playing in the French league with the club.

"It feels good to be here and the chance to play in a competitive league makes it very exciting for me," Enyeama told BBC Sport.

"The club is magnificent. I feel welcomed and accepted - even before the medical - and that is a positive sign.

"Interestingly, it is a club brimming with so much talent and I hope to bring the best of my ability to ensure a progressive step for the team.

"The fact that they won the league-and-cup double shows how much progress they have made, but I am extremely proud to be around winners and win trophies here as well."

Enyeama will have the chance to compete in the Uefa Champions League given Lille's first title in a half-century.

After rejecting offers in England, Spain and Portugal, the Nigerian is confident he has made the right choice in Lille.

"I considered a lot of things before coming here," he explained.

"I also spoke to Osaze (Odemwingie) and he told me many positive things about the club.

"The choice and decision was easy - this is a club with so many promises and I feel honoured to be here.

"The opportunity of playing in the Uefa Champions League is also appealing I must confess."

Enyeama has been the Super Eagles' first-choice goalkeeper since 2002 and experienced six years in the Israeli league, where he first tasted European club football.

He won the Israeli league in 2010 and enjoyed back-to-back Israeli cup success both last year and this.

"It is a big challenge for me but I'm confident - a different league but I'm prepared for the challenges ahead.

"I'll miss my friends in Israel and my family also have friends there but in football change is constant.

Enyeama burst into international light in the colours of Nigerian side Enyimba after winning back-to-back African Champions League titles in 2003 and 2004.

He spent a season at rivals Heartland before joining Israel's Bnei Yehuda in 2005, where his performances attracted Hapoel Tel Aviv and the country's powerhouse snapped him up in 2007.

Enyeama made 113 appearances for the Israeli giants and scored eight goals - ultimately attracting interest from clubs in England, Russia, Turkey, Spain and Ukraine.

Meite join French newcomers Dijon

French top-flight newcomers Dijon have announced the signing of Ivory Coast centre-back Abdoulaye Meite.

The defender has put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

He joins the French club on a free transfer after his contract with English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion expired.

Prior to joining West Brom in 2008, he represented Red Star Belgrade (1998-2000), Marseille (2000-2006) and Bolton Wanderers (2006-2008).

Meite has 48 international caps for the Elephants.

Birmingham owner Yeung charged

30 June 2011 Last updated at 04:26 ET

Birmingham City FC's president Carson Yeung has appeared in court in Hong Kong on money-laundering charges.

Mr Yeung was bailed by the Eastern Court in his home city after being charged with five counts.

BBC correspondent Annemarie Evans said he had been arrested by the narcotic bureau's financial investigations unit at his home.

Mr Yeung took control of the English football club, which was relegated to the Championship in May, in 2009.

'Tax issue'

The trial has been adjourned until 11 August.

Ms Evans said all five charges related to money laundering with the amount involved being up to £59m.

She said Mr Yeung had not entered a plea and little about the details of the charges was known.

News agency Reuters reported Mr Yeung's lawyer, Daniel Marash, as saying that it seemed to be a tax issue.

"All they're saying is that he has got a lot of money, and he hasn't paid a lot of tax," he said.

"I mean there's lots of money in my bank account, not as much as his, but I don't pay taxes because it's not taxable."

'Unrelated to club'

He also said trade in shares of the club's parent company, suspended on Thursday, may start again now he has been bailed.

Earlier, a statement put out by Birmingham City's acting chairman, Peter Pannu, said he believed the police inquiries in Hong Kong were nothing to do with the club's parent company or subsidiaries.

He said he had been informed by lawyers that Mr Yeung was assisting with inquiries that had nothing to do with Birmingham International Holdings Limited (BIHL) in Hong Kong and therefore nothing to do with the operation of the club.

Mr Yeung worked in England as a teenager before becoming a hairstylist in Hong Kong. He made his fortune through investing in stocks in nearby Macau in the 1990s.

He is Birmingham's largest single shareholder with a 29.9% stake.

The Voice Finalists

Congratulations are in order for JAVIER COLON!

The singer edged out runner-up Dia Frampton by just two percent when all votes were tallied. Following the victory, Colon gushed on stage:

Is he a worthy champion?

Pope Benedict XVI Signs Up for Twitter

#thingswedidnotexpecttowriteabouttoday....

Pope Benedict XVI has joined Twitter. The Holy One made a video (below) of his first Tweet, which reads:

“Dear Friends, I just launched News.va. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI."

Pope Benedict XVI Joins Twitter

This new Vatican’s website features news in Italian and English. The only question that now remains: Can Benedict XVI out-follow Charlie Sheen?

Remember to follow THG on Twitter for the latest news, views and Kim Kardashian bashing!

Lauren Conrad & Kyle Howard: Behind the Break-Up

Three year of blissful dating came to an end last week, as Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard shocked the celebrity gossip world by breaking up.

What happened?!?

"He saw the relationship as distracting from his goal of being the next Robert De Niro," an insider says in the latest issue of Us Weekly. "He wasn't supportive of her career."

Lauren Conrad Us Weekly Cover

With an upcoming role on Royal Pains, and a critically-beloved turn on My Boys, Howard does have a bright acting career in front of him. He reportedly felt like LC's reality star roots weren't an appropriate fit.

"All of her friends can count on one hand the amount of times they've seen him," said a source, adding that "Lauren is heartbroken... She wants to be married and have kids."

Justin Bieber Previews Next Album

Don't worry, fans: Justin Bieber won't be promoting perfume forever.

The singer is already planning his next album, although it's unlikely to hit stores any time soon. In an interview with MTV, Justin said of the eventual CD:

"I want to] write a lot myself. I will be working with a lot of other producers and stuff like that, but I'm just writing a lot, writing on tour."

Greetings, Justin Bieber

Fans have plenty of options to listen to until Bieber does take over the charts with his next release, of course. He's already come out with (deep breath...) My World, My World 2.0, Never Say Never - The Remixes and My Worlds Acoustic.

Expect to hear more of the latter down the road.

"I've done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it's gonna have that vibe. I'm not gonna really limit myself... I know there's country music, there's rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music."

Should we bother to ask: Are you excited for a new album from Justin Bieber?

Really Wild Thing: Charlie Sheen Admits to Steroid Use

Charlie Harper may soon be killed off Two and a Half Men, but this is far more troubling:

Charlie Sheen has officially murdered our belief in the fastball of Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn.

As Ricky Vaughn

The pitcher arrived on the scene in 1989's Major League, straight out of the California penal league. He was armed with an impressive, albeit erratic, right arm.

Now, though, Sheen has lifted the curtain on how he prepared for one of his most iconic roles. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, the actor says went on a steroid cycle for "six to right weeks" and it helped. He told the magazine:

"You can print this, I don't give a f-ck. My fastball went from 79 [mph] to like 85."

The Indians did win the pennant in Vaughn's rookie season, but he may now be more shamed than fellow baseball cheats Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.

Teresa Giudice: Pregnant?!?!?!?!?!?

Teresa Giudice is not pregnant.

We know what the latest In Touch Weekly screams; we also know what the cover of an issue of OK! said earlier this month about Kim Kardashian. Remember how that rumor turned out?

No Baby for Teresa Giudice

Between a feud with sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, an impending lawsuit and her general lack of talent, Teresa has enough to worry about without tabloids conjuring up allegations of...

... whoa! Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux might get engaged?!?

Kim Zolciak Baby Photo: CUTE!

Kim Zolciak has officially sold the first photo of her new son to the highest-bidder.

Life & Style paid for the honor and, we've gotta say, month-old Kroy Jagger is a total cutie. The picture is far more adorable than the one of Kim immediately prior to giving birth...

Kim Zolciak and Son

"I'm just so crazy in love with K.J. I'm always kissing his big old lips," Zolciak tells the tabloid of the child she sired with Kroy Biermann, adding: "I definitely would like one more child. I would love to have K.J. walking by the wedding. He could be the little ring bearer!"

Pick up the latest issue of Life & Style for more cleavage baby shots!

Google Social Network to Take on Facebook

Consider yourself on notice, Facebook: Google is coming for you.

The search engine giant has announced plans for its own social network, title "Google+ project." Sum it up for us, please, Google's Vice President of Product Management, Bradley Horowitz:

"In real life, we have walls and windows and I can speak to you knowing who's in the room, but in the online world, you get to a ‘Share' box and you share with the whole world."

Google vs. FB

Okay, that didn't make the concept much clearer.

"Google+ project" will reportedly feature social circles that permit users to "selectively share with specific groups within their personal network, rather than sharing with all their social connections at once."

The social network, which does not have a release date, will also include the ability to video chat in groups; display interests; share content easily; and pretty much do anything you could ever want to online.

This is Google, after all.

Birmingham boss Yeung aids police

29 June 2011 Last updated at 12:48 ET

Birmingham City FC's president Carson Yeung is helping police in Hong Kong with criminal investigations, according to the club's website.

A statement put out by acting chairman Peter Pannu said Mr Yeung was assisting police in Hong Kong.

He said he believed the inquiries were nothing to do with the club's parent company or subsidiaries.

Birmingham International Holdings' lawyers had informed him of the situation, he said.

He said he had also been informed by the lawyers that Mr Yeung was assisting with inquiries that had nothing to do with BIHL in Hong Kong and therefore nothing to do with the operation of club.

"People are reminded that in recent years members of the previous board were placed on bail for a significant amount of time and nothing came of it," the statement said.

"I am only using this as an example to calm any fears."

Newsweek Courts Controversy, Imagines: What Would Princess Diana Be Doing Today?

Seriously, Newsweek? We know sales have been abysmal and you were on the verge of going under a few months ago, but this seems like an extreme way to generate headlines.

The latest issue of this magazine features a digitally-altered photo of Princess Diana, imaging what she would look like at age 50, and places it alongside Kate Middleton, as if the two are old pals out for a stroll.

It's an eerie attempt to bring the dead back to life, and to put even more pressure on the beautiful head of Prince William's bride than already exists.

Editor Tina Brown, who penned the cover story, says of her vision of Diana:

“There is no doubt she would have kept her chin taut with strategic Botox shots and her bare arms buff from the gym. Remarriage? At least two, I suspect, on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Hypothesizing about what this icon would be doing if tragedy hadn't struck in 1997? Juxtaposing a photoshopped version of her on the sidewalk with Middleton? Do you find this blatant attention-grab to be in poor taste?

Tracy Morgan Under New Fire for Comedy Show Remarks

Having apologized multiple times for his controversial stand-up routine in Nashville, Tracy Morgan returned to the stage a few days ago...

... and proceeded to get himself in more trouble.

Tracy Morgan in NYC

Performing in New York City, the 30 Rock star warned audience members not to "mess with women who have retarded kids" because "them young retarded males is strong. They're strong like chimps."

As the crowd groaned, Morgan joked about hooking up with "a cripple."

In response to these remarks, Peter Berns - CEO of The Arc, a nonprofit organization that serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities - has issued the following statement:

"Tracy Morgan should apologize immediately. This quote is far too offensive to be excused as comedy, and it is very hurtful to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Mr. Morgan has an incredibly powerful platform from which to fix this, and if he's learned anything in the last few weeks, he can't bomb this apology."

Should Morgan apologize for these new jokes?

Rock Ross Sued Over Dog Mauling

Doggone it, Rick Ross is in trouble with the law.

A lawsuit has been filed against the rapper following the death of a three-year old Yorkshire Terrier named Banks. According to documents obtained by TMZ, the canine suffered "3 large bite wounds on his back," along with a "very large bite wound" around his neck, all at the paws of Ross' pitbulls, which escaped from his home in April.

The owner of Banks was forced to euthanize the pet as a result of the attack.

Investigators cited Ross for the incident, but the lack of an apology from the artist has irked the owner to the point where she's demanding he pay over $15,000 in damages and court costs.

Let's hope the court also makes him put a shirt on. Yeeesh!

Brandon Davis Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Possession, Avoid Jail Time

Brandon Davis, the Hollywood socialite known as Greasy Bar, has managed to essentially slip through the fingers of law enforcement.

Two months after being arrested with cocaine in his pocket outside a Hollywood nightclub, Davis pleaded guilty yesterday to possession. But, come on, he's a Z-lister with money, do you really think he's headed for prison?

Trouble for Brandon Davis

Cops were called to the scene of Beacher's Madhouse in April after Davis allegedly punched comedian Ben Gleib in the face. The authorities arrived, discovered the drugs on Brandon and arrested him for battery and possession of a controlled substance.

Now, Davis has pleaded no contest to the former charge and has been sentenced him to a drug diversion program. If he completes it, both charges will be dropped.

Amber Rose: SMH Over Naked Photo, Boyfriend-Stealing Allegations

Amber Rose has taken to Twitter to shake her head over allegations that she tried to steal Nicki Minaj's boyfriend via a series of nude cell phone pics.

The rumor broke yesterday that Rose was caught in a bedroom a few months ago with Safaree, the guy Minaj was dating at the time. Allegedly, the rapper proceeded to check her man's phone and find a slew of VERY racy, VERY naked photos of the short-haired model.

England up to fourth in rankings

Fabio Capello Capello and his players were criticised after drawing 2-2 with Switzerland

England have moved above Brazil to fourth in the Fifa world rankings, despite their recent run of poor form.

Fabio Capello's England side only reached the last 16 of last summer's World Cup and have not won their last two qualifying matches for Euro 2012.

Spain are top of the rankings, followed by the Netherlands and Germany.

Republic of Ireland (31st), Scotland (61st) and Northern Ireland (62nd) also climb the rankings but Wales stay in 114th place.

It is the first time England have been as high as fourth since 1997, after they reached the semi-finals of Euro 96.

However, Capello and his side have come under criticism after a poor World Cup and only managing a 2-2 draw against Switzerland at Wembley earlier this month - a result that the Italian coach blamed on fatigue.

1 Spain

2 Netherlands

3 Germany

4 England

5 Brazil

31 Republic of Ireland

61 Scotland

62 Northern Ireland

114 Wales

Spain's haul of 1,871 points keeps them top and they are 210 points ahead of the Netherlands, who they beat in the World Cup final in South Africa last year.

Germany's 1,417 points moves them up to third, while England tally 1,146 points.

Brazil (1,130), Italy (1,059), Portugal (1,046), Croatia (1,033), Mexico (1,007) and Argentina (979) complete the top 10.

Fifa ranking points are accumulated according to results, the importance of the matches played and the strength of the opposing teams.

A team's total number of points is representative of a four-year period, calculated by the average number of points gained over the past 12 months and the average gained from older games, though that points total depreciates yearly.

Since they were knocked out of the World Cup by Germany just over a year ago, England have won five matches, including three qualifiers; drawn three, which includes two competitive games; and lost once - to France in a friendly.

Hulk Hogan Fires Back at Ex, Denies Allegations of Violence

Hulk Hogan may have been a violet man in the ring, leg-dropping opponents for years and becoming the most famous name in wrestling history.

But the former WWE star denied all charges yesterday that he acted in any kind of similar manner at home, following Linda Hogan's shocking allegations on The Today Show.

Speaking to Matt Lauer (and promoting her autobiography), Linda said she feared for her life any time Hulk flew into one of his rages, which included tearing shirts and throwing lamps.

Hulk Hogan Responds to Wife

Hulk's response?

He called in to The Bubba the Love Sponge Show, said Linda was "delusional," he never laid a hand on her and we should "just take her and put her in the same category with the Iron Sheik and the Ultimate Warrior. They all belong together."

Earlier this month, the Warrior, a foe of Hogan's in the ring many years ago, accused him of doping and wife-swapping.
