1957: And Ukraine nearly take the lead. Yevhen Konoplianka rifles in a low shot from 25 yards and it bounces just before Frankie Fielding, the Derby keeper parrying it away. Maxym Biliy tries to fasten on to the rebound, but he fouls Ryan Bertrand in the process.

From Anon, on text: "Let's not get carried away people. Ukraine have started the better here..."

1954: Better from Ukraine in the last few minutes, they've got a foothold in the game. That Denys Garmash looks decent, though he needed a bit of attention after Phil Jones' challenge a couple of minutes ago. By the way, refresh your page and BBC Radio 5 live's commentary will appear top right.

1952: That's why Michael Mancienne shouldn't be playing - he gives the ball away inside his own half with a poor touch and Denys Garmash darts forward, his 20-yard shot deflected over by a diving Phil Jones.

1951: Daniel Sturridge has made a very lively start, he's probably already seen more of the ball in dangerous positions than he did against Spain. On BBC Radio 5 live, Ian Dennis says the Spanish press have dubbed Kyle Walker "the new Roberto Carlos" after his impressive performance on Sunday. They've gone big, there.

BBC Radio 5 live's Danny Mills: "Maybe England were a bit star struck on Sunday against Spain, but they've started much better already here and are trying to take a grip on the game."

1947: Not many in the house tonight, wonder what else Danish people could possibly have to do on such a spankingly sunny Scandinavian evening? England have made the better start in the super early stages.

1941: The players are out in Herning and it's anthem time. I'd go draw based on those performances. For what they're worth (absolutely nothing).

From James, Hastings, on text: "Re 1923... Survival of the freshest? (Legs, that is)"

Ukraine boss Pavlo Yakovenko: "After the Czech game, our main thing was to move on and focus on the positives. We watched England's against Spain and they're a solid team. England got their tactics right and made the most of their opportunities. They don't score a lot, but don't concede much either."

England coach Stuart Pearce: "I won't get washed away by the fact Spain had 59% of possession - that will happen when we play Spain at any level, from Under-17s to senior, and in 50 years we'll be sitting here having the same conversation. We all have our DNA as nations, whether you're Spanish, Italian, English, German. We all play in a certain way that the public demands in that country and probably the breeding and the climate that you train in as well."

From Rich, Nottingham, on text: "Win or lose tonight I think Psycho is building a team on the same ethos that he carried throughout his career; 100% hard work and commitment. They all want to be there and believe in their own abilities. Hopefully we can show more confidence tonight and boss the game from the off. Young lions!"

1923: Stuart Pearce was heavily criticised for using defender Michael Mancienne as a holding midfielder against Spain, a decision that didn't pay off. The good news tonight is that Jack Rodwell plays in midfield for England - the bad news is Mancienne keeps his place, and there's more as Scott Sinclair - who terrorised Championship defences last season - is once again left on the bench in favour of Danny Rose, who didn't. Tom Cleverly misses out. Ukraine are without their captain Taras Stepanenko, whose tournament ended with a muscle injury against the Czechs.

1920: Pavlo Yakovenko's Ukraine side lost their first Group B tie 2-1 to the Czech Republic. Moments ago, Spain beat Czech Republic 2-0 in Viborg, leaving the table looking a bit like this:
Spa Pld 2 Pts 4
Cze Pld 2 Pts 3
Eng Pld 1 Pts 1
Ukr Pld 1 Pts 0

Ross from Canterbury on text: "Rodwell deserves a starting place tonight along with the skipper's armband, future star needs to shine!"

1904: Welcome one and welcome all. Tonight we travel to Denmark, land of Hans Christian Andersen, Helena Christiansen and John Jensen for the latest instalment of Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 Adventures. At 1945 BST, Psycho and his brave boys come face-to-face with Ukraine in their second Group B contest - and by crikey could they use three of your Scandinavian points to get their campaign rocking and rolling.

1900: That's the beauty of the sport, isn't it? Even when there's not supposed to be any football going on, there's always some football going on. And as for the famous old adage that you can't win anything with kids...
