Watch the five goals scored by Raul at World Cup tournaments
German side Schalke have said Blackburn Rovers have made a bid for former Real Madrid striker Raul.
General manager Horst Heldt said Schalke had given the 34-year-old until 1200 BST on Wednesday to decide if he wants to move to Ewood Park.
"We don't want to let him go but, if he wants to go, we will deal with it and enter negotiations", said Heldt.
"There will be a prompt decision in the matter. We won't give him away, we'll see how the discussions go."

Raul joined Schalke last summer after 18 years at Real Madrid.
The former Spain international, whose contract with Schalke runs until the summer of 2012, has been a success at the German club, scoring 22 goals in 55 games.
His five Champions League goals helped his side reach the semi-finals where they lost to Manchester United.
Since Indian poultry and pharmaceutical giants Venky's took over Blackburn in November 2010 the club have attempted to sign former England captain David Beckham and ex-Brazil midfielder Ronaldinho.
After defeat by Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day of the season on Saturday, manager Steve Kean said he wanted four more players before the transfer deadline.
