Rise of the Planet of the Apes Still Standing Tall, Upright Above Box Office Competition

A solid debut for The Help wasn't enough to knock Rise of the Planet of the Apes from the top spot at the box office for a second consecutive week.

The action-packed blockbuster starring James Franco and Freida Pinto, earned $27.5 million in its second weekend, bringing its total to $105 million.

The Help, based on the best-selling novel and costarring Viola Davis, came in second with $25.5 million, bringing its five day total to $35.4 million.
