New England Patriots fans already hate David Tyree, the former Giants wide receiver whose miraculous catch in Super Bowl XLII enabled New York to pull off a major upset.
Now, Pats' fans will likely have some company.
In an interview with National Organization for Marriage, Tyree took a controversial stance on gay marriage.
If the institution is ever opened up to homosexuals, the wideout said: "This will be the beginning of our country sliding toward... it's a strong word, but anarchy...
"How can marriage be marriage for thousands of years and now all the sudden because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or agenda... and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country."
Note: Tyree is African-American. Interracial marriage was illegal in the United States until 1967. Seems worth mentioning.
