1955: Another escape for Rangers. Wilton evades two defenders inside the Rangers box and fires in a shot that is well saved by Allan McGregor and a rebound effort from the left by Jimmy Durmaz goes wide.

1954: Couple of attacks from Rangers there with Steven Naismith unable to find Lee Wallace, who had charged down the left and then Naismith getting crowded out on the edge of the area.

1951: Malmo are trying to get the ball forward early and make the most of Daniel Larsson's pace while Wilton is pushing up high as well.

SolvnIT on Twitter: "hope Rangers get confidence and push to bring the much needed win to back Ally."

1948: Malmo make an early charge with the speedy Daniel Larsson getting in behind the Rangers defence and nudging the ball past the onrushing Allan McGregor but the Rangers defence clears the danger. The home side go straight to the other end and Nikica Jelavic goes down in the box after being closed down by two defenders but referee Antonio Lahoz waves play on.

1947: Rangers kick off to get the game underway.

1945: The match is preceded by one minute's silence in memory of the victims of last week's attacks in Norway.

1944: It looks like Malmo will play a 4-4-1-1 formation with Wilton supporting striker Daniel Larsson.

1942: Both sets of players emerge from the tunnel and onto the pitch.

1940: Despite signing for Rangers last season, Nikica Jelavic will be making his European debut for the Ibrox side this evening. The striker was ineligible for Rangers' European games last season.

1936: Some Malmo fans have been speaking to Radio Scotland and, as well as enjoying the Glasgow sunshine, they are confident of a positive result for their side with one predicting a 2-1 win.

1933: This evening's Radio Scotland commentary is only available on 810MW.

iamslowgraffiti on Twitter: "can I listen online to the game?"

1927: Full teams from Ibrox:
Rangers: McGregor, Bougherra, Weir, Papac, Whittaker, Davis, McCulloch, Edu, Wallace, Jelavic, Naismith. Subs: Alexander, Broadfoot, Fleck, Healy, Juanma Ortiz, Wylde, Hemmings.
Malmo FF: Melicharek, Halsti, Jansson, Andersson, Hamad, Mehmeti, Mutavdzic, Pekalski, Durmaz, Figueiredo, Larsson. Subs: Garaca, Yago, Malm, Omid Nazari, Amin Nazari, Aubynn, Rexhepi.
Referee: Antonio Lahoz (Spain)

1926: Rangers won just one of their 10 European fixtures last season and Malmo have won just two of their away games this season but a score draw this evening would give them an away goals advantage going into the second leg.

1920: Unlike Rangers, Malmo are midway through their season and are currently ninth in the Allsvenskan.

1919: This match is Ally McCoist's first European match as Rangers manager and his second competitive game overall. His managerial bow on Saturday against Hearts ended 1-1.

1917: My last entry was a quote attributed to Ally McCoist, when it should in fact have said Kenny McDowell. Apologies, refresh your page to see the corrected version.

"The players are looking forward to it. It's a beautiful night. We're looking to get Davis, Edu and Naismith supporting Jelavic. We know quite a bit (about Malmo). They're well into their season. We know it's a potential banana skin. We're looking to get a good result tonight to take over to Sweden. They're a decent side so we've got to give them respect." Rangers assistant manager Kenny McDowell

1915: It looks like Rangers will play with a three-man central defence and Steven Whittaker and Lee Wallace deployed in wing-back roles.

1913: The full Rangers starting line-up is: McGregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Weir, Papac, Wallace, Davis, Edu, McCulloch, Naismith, Jelavic.

1912: There will be live radio commentary of tonight's match on BBC Radio Scotland 810MW. Please note, there will not be an online commentary of this match.

1908: The early team news from Ibrox is that David Weir and Lee Wallace will replace Kirk Broadfoot and Juan Manuel Ortiz in the Rangers starting line-up. That means a Rangers debut for Lee Wallace.

1902: Tonight's match is the first leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League. The winner of the tie will progress to the play-off round - the last stage before the group stage.

1900: Good evening and welcome to live coverage of Rangers v Malmo.
