1504: GOAL St Johnstone 0-1 Dundee United (Douglas)

1502: And the matches get underway.

1500: Players are on the pitch for the pre-match handshakes.

1455: Five minutes to go until kick-off.

1454: There are three former Dundee United players in the St Johnstone line-up; David McCracken, David Robertson and Francisco Sandaza. Could one of that trio come back to haunt the Tangerines?

1449: Another debutant on show today is Motherwell's new signing Tim Clancy.

1443: In other transfer news, Hibernian have signed Leigh Griffiths on loan from Wolves until January.

1442: That means Lauri Dalla Valle makes his debut for Dundee United after joining on loan from Fulham earlier this week.

1439: Full teams from McDiarmid Park.
St Johnstone: Enckelman, MacKay, Wright, McCracken, Callum Davidson, Robertson, Adams, Morris, Craig, Sheridan, Sandaza. Subs: Mannus, Maybury, Caddis, Gibson, May, McIntosh, Higgins.

From BBC Scotland's Jane Lewis on Twitter: "Shaun Hutchinson misses out because of a hamstring injury, paving the way for a debut for new recruit Tim Clancy. The club have also agreed a two-year deal with Omar Daley subject to a work permit. He's at East End Park today before travelling to Jamaica on Monday to sort out the paperwork."

1435: The first Tayside derby of the season takes place at McDiarmid Park with St Johnstone on a high following last week's 1-0 win at Celtic Park and then a comfortable 3-0 midweek triumph over Livingston in the cup. United have lost their last two games and will be eager to avoid three in a row.

1434: Inverness also lost to lower league opposition in the cup during the week with Ayr United triumphing at Somerset Park. The Highlanders are still looking for their first league win of the season but today's opponents Kilmarnock have not lost yet this season.

1432: At East End Park, a win for either side would send them top of the table, for at least 24 hours. A draw would be enough for Motherwell to reach the summit. The Pars sustained a surprise defeat in the Scottish Communities League Cup to East Fife in midweek but Jim McIntyre's side are still unbeaten on league duty and are aiming for a third straight SPL win.

1430: Good afternoon and welcome to our Scottish Premier League coverage. Just the three games today, with Dunfermline hosting Motherwell, Kilmarnock travelling to Inverness and Dundee United making the short trip to St Johnstone.
